1982 Eye Candy.

Looking through some old TV themes on YouTube, I was reminded of a hottie from my teen years.

Does anyone remember Michael Lembeck from “One Day At A Time”?

  1. YES! I remember him. Wow, he really was a hottie–even in retrospect. That picture makes me wonder if he’s as furry under that sweater as he is on his face. WOOF

  2. I remember him, too. I think he went on to direct a lot of shows.

    I’ve recently got a TV theme stuck in my head but it is a current show. A cartoon, no less. The Emperor’s New School on ABC Saturday morning at 9. Thought I’d pass that along!

  3. OMG, Yes! I always thought that Michael Lembeck was dreamy. πŸ™‚ Loved that beard! And yes, he did stop acting and start directing. If I recall correctly, I think he directed some ‘Friends’ and ‘Veronica’s Closet’ episodes for TV. And those Tim Allen ‘Santa Clause’ movies. LOL.

  4. I have no idea who he is, and I don’t remember that TV show.

    I just remember watching home improvement growing up so I could watch Richard Karn. (-;

  5. I remember him from the movie “On The Right Track” with Gary Coleman from ’81. Besides that and One Day at a Time, for me he’s a nice retro-star.

  6. Yes! On one of his early appearances on “One Day At A Time,” Michael walked through the living room wearing only a towel wrapped around his waist. He had a gorgeous furry chest. They kept him pretty buttoned up, though, most of the time, alas.

  8. oh yes i remember him. i used to watch in the intro of the show where it showed him with no shirt, then i’d run to the bathroom.

  9. I, too, came across this site looking for pics of him. I’ve had a crush on him since I was 6 years old and watched him as Kaptian Kool on “Kaptian Kool and the Kongs.” He is still hot. I have a friend who looks just like him. No lie. They could be brothers. “Gorp” was on tv recently. Thank God I had the right mind to record it. ‘Course, they blurred out his fine rear-end. πŸ˜‰
