The National Weather Service in Binghamton has issued a winter storm warning for our area. The warning interval is from 2:00 p.m. tomorrow afternoon until Thursday morning. When all is said and done, we should have 12-18 inches of snow on the ground, with peak snowfall around 2 inches of snow per hour.
It’s about time!
While I have seen Mother Nature do much worse and give us much more snow in the same amount of time, I have to admit that I’m rather excited about this predicted snow event and I am looking forward to it feeling “really like winter” tomorrow.
The Jeep and Earl’s car are ready with an extra hat and mittens in each. Shovels are primed and ready to go and we have plenty of Christmas cookies to last us the duration.
Eat, drink and be merry!
We had one of those for last night and today, but it all went south of us. The Husbear was not amused that we didn’t get anything. I, on the other hand, was ecstatic that it didn’t precipitate at all.
There’s a heaviness in the air right now that makes me think that we are going to get some snow, but we haven’t seen anything yet. I hope you had a great Christmas!
From Pa . We will be getting ours so they say in 2 hours.but they said yesterday it would start last nite, but did not.. I’m stuck in anyway with a sick hubby. hope electric stays on. Thats my biggest fear. You all have a safe day and stay warm. Pat
They’re saying it’ll start around 2 p.m. this afternoon but we haven’t seen any snow yet. At first they were saying 18-inches of snow but now they’ve ramped it back to 10-12.
Keep warm!
