Carve Out A Mustache.

Carve Out A Mustache.

I’ve had a beard for the most part for the past two years. Earl was at work this morning and for a good share of this afternoon, and I was bored, so I decided it was try something different with my facial hair.

Hence, my new mustache, courtesy of the friendly neighborhood barber. I’m going to let it grow in and keep it around for a while.

Cavallo’s Nachos.

Nothing says “you’re half way through the week!” like a plate of nachos to share at one of our favorite haunts, “Cavallo’s”, in the Village of New Hartford.

Three beers at supper also contributed to the sentiment.

Daydreaming.

It’s raining again. Lots of rain. Tons of rain. So I’m daydreaming.

Won’t you meet me in Montana
I wanna see the mountains your eyes.
Woah, Woah I had all of this life I can handle
Meet me underneath that big Montana sky.

View at Work.

Here’s a picture of my view at work. Being an IT person that works in the Network Operations Center of a telecom company, you’ll notice that I took a picture of my computer screen. That’s because I look at my computer screen all day long.

Hence, my view.

In the very upper left hand corner of the picture you may notice a window. It looks out into the lobby, where I get to see every person that leaves and arrives by elevator. Maybe I’ll take a picture the next time I see some good eye candy.

The other reason I took this picture is because I succumbed to societal pressures and decided to keep my cell phone account and Earl bought me a new cell phone for my birthday. It’s a Motorola Razr in stunning black. I love it. Text away!

Goals.

Beard Check Up.

So here’s a picture of me sitting at my PowerBook. No, I’m not naked, I do have shorts on. I’m just enjoying the breeze from the window behind me.

This is the third week of the new beard, one week of the new mustache. I’m glad I tried the no mustache look but I decided that it really wasn’t for me. Earl has done the same with his goatee and it looks awesome. I’ll let him carry the no mustache glory for the family.

As we’ve been spending time at home today, I’ve been thinking about a few goals I want to attain this summer. One of them is to get my butt back on my bike and to ride a century (100 miles) ride. Somewhere. Anywhere. Preferably along the Erie Canal trail.

As soon as this run of on-call comes to an end on Monday I’m going to be hitting the trails once again. I’m looking forward to the challenge.
