He’s A Feline.

Caturday.

This guy always wins my heart. Here he looks at the human as he wonders why there’s no treats being dispersed.

Caturday.

We celebrated Truman’s five year anniversary of “Gotcha Day” this week. He just wanted extra kibble.

He has been a little more social with the dogs lately and the three of them chased a laser dot together. He then retreated to his cat tree to watch activities around the house.

Caturday.

Truman patiently waits for me to complete my feline related chores after being gone all morning on a hike.

After the litter box has been scooped, Truman jumps up on his cat tree expecting four treats. I’m not sure he can count but he jumps down when I say, “last one”.

He had his annual wellness check this week. The vet said he’s in very good shape. no concerns, and he’s exactly the weight he was last year. He’s a big boy at around 18 1/2 pounds. He’s big boned, I guess.

Caturday.

The other night Earl and I were watching television and Truman decided to jump up and sleep on my chest while I was sitting on the couch. This is a particularly rare event for Truman so I was honored by his presence.

Unfortunately I coughed and he rapidly ejected from the situation and settled in on the blanket sitting next to me. He then assumed several positions until he found just the right one.

He is so charming.

Caturday.

Truman has decided to celebrate the New Year by enjoying a new vantage spot in the house. He enjoys sitting under the dining room table, keeping his eye on household activities.

Caturday, Part 2.

I never figured out what Truman had spied up on the wall when I took this photo. I didn’t see anything moving, I didn’t hear any critters making critter sounds, but something definitely grabbed his attention as we were sitting on the couch together.

He’s been very snuggly the past couple of weeks. This morning we awoke with him actually sleeping on the bed with us and he wasn’t demanding kibble. He was just hanging out with his Papa and Daddy.

Caturday.

I’ve never tried putting a costume or anything on Truman but I was curious as to how he would react. So, while he was hanging out in my work office yesterday I decided to see if I could put a dish cloth on his head without causing him duress. He was surprisingly calm about the whole affair.

I assure him this is not the start of a trend and he seemed pleased about that.

Later in the evening, while we were watching television, he decided to situate himself on the end table and keep an eye on the door, as it was raining quite hard and he was not happy he could go out on the roof and look at the stars.

Caturday.

Since we are at Disney this weekend, Mike snapped a photo of Truman to let us know all is well while he takes over the house in our absence.

Apparently we also missed nap time.

Caturday.

Truman is in the holiday spirit. After fighting with the Christmas tree skirt right after the trees were decorated, they seem to have come to an understanding. Now this is one of his favorite places to watch the activity around the house.
