Our first round of impressive storms of the monsoon season pushed through the area this afternoon. During a break in the action Earl and I went for a walk in Saguaro National Park East.

Monsoon season has arrived in Southeast Arizona. I’ve been watching storms and associated moisture work their way up from Mexico and it has arrived in glorious technicolor.
When monsoon season is here, I open the blinds in my office as wide as they’ll go.
There’s been some impressive lightning strikes accompanying the festivities, but it’s the rain that’s been impressive this afternoon.
I’m keeping track of storm progression on the Linux desktop in my work office as I make my way through the workday.
