Day 0: Denver, Colorado.

I am writing this blog entry from the Microtel near the Denver Airport. It is “day zero” of the storm chasing trip; the flight from Tucson to Denver was uneventful and enjoyable. Flight attendant Michelle noticed I was enjoying the almonds with sea salt and gave me four packs to take home.

I like first class.

After walking through miles of Denver Airport terminals, I finally picked up my luggage and made my way to the car rental place, where I picked up this sweet ride for the trip. I’ll be driving it back to Tucson.

The 2023 Jeep Wrangler Xe4 is nifty as a hybrid but still has lots of pep. I’m impressed with this Jeep thus far.

The skies are going to be quiet for a few days, so tomorrow I’m going up to Cheyenne to visit our friend Tim and then I’m going to get positioned for whatever Mother Nature has in store for Saturday.

I’m feeling relaxed, though I’m already missing my husband.

When I was a young lad, one of my bucket list items was to fly on Concorde. With the ending of the supersonic passenger service in 2003, this item on my list will never come to fruition. Instead, I can live vicariously through accounts of passengers that were fortunate enough to fly at 60,000 feet above the Earth.

The Medium article is a very detailed account of a flight on Concorde in 2000. It sounds like such an amazing experience.
