Bored with the idea of watching television last night, I suggested to Earl a last minute field trip to our local theatre to see “The Accountant 2”. This is a follow up to the 2015 Ben Affleck film, “The Accountant”. My husband was delighted with my bout of spontaneity, so he booked tickets and off we went. The theatre was about 15% full. Not awful for a Thursday night.
The film was as I expected to be, an action movie with loose connections to the original movie. The storyline required a bit of faith from the viewer to follow along and there were a few times where I saw a plot hole, but for the most part it was the escapism I was seeking at the moment. Plus, I’ve always had a thing for Ben Affleck.
It was well worth the diversion from a normal Thursday night.
